IR - Instrument rating

The aim of the Instrument rating IR(A) course is to train the student pilot to fly safely and efficiently under Instrumental Flight Rules. The privileges of a holder of a IR(A) are to pilot airplanes under Instrumental Flight Rules (IFR) with a minimum decision height of 200 feet (60m.). Course length should be not more than 18 month. A single-engine IR(A) course comprise at least 50 hours instrument time under instruction of which up to 35 hours in a FNPT II simulator. A multi-engine IR(A) course comprise at least 55 hours instrument time under instruction of which up to 40 hours in a FNPT II simulator. Instrument flight instruction shall include at least 15 hours in multi-engine airplanes.
